Windows Only: Advance Steel is built on the AutoCAD platform and does not have a macOS version.
AutoCAD Engine: Since Advance Steel runs on top of the AutoCAD core, its performance requirements are identical to high-end AutoCAD specifications, with additional overhead for the database (SQL) and 3D object management.

💡 Performance Advice for Advance Steel
CPU Priority: Advance Steel, like AutoCAD, is primarily single-threaded for modeling and detailing.
Do not buy a CPU with low GHz and many cores (like an entry-level Server/Xeon CPU).
Do buy a CPU with high GHz (e.g., Intel Core i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7/9 with 5.0 GHz+ boost).
Memory (RAM):
While 16 GB is the standard, 32 GB is strongly recommended if you are working with:
Large assemblies (thousands of beams/plates).
XREFs (External References) from Plant 3D or Revit.
Point Clouds (ReCap data).
Database Speed:
Advance Steel relies heavily on MDF databases (SQL LocalDB) for connection macros and drawing styles. Installing on a slow HDD (Hard Drive) will severely lag the software. Always install on a fast NVMe SSD.
Mac Users:
There is no Mac version.
Virtualization (Parallels) is generally not recommended for Advance Steel due to the heavy graphical and database load. A dedicated Windows PC is the best solution.
