🍏 Revit for Mac Users (macOS)
Revit does not run natively on macOS. Here are the only viable options:

💡 Performance Advice for Revit Users
The "Single Core" Rule:
Revit is not like rendering software. 90% of tasks (modeling, regenerating views, moving walls) use only 1 CPU core.
Buying Advice: Do not buy a workstation with a low-speed 24-core CPU (e.g., Threadripper or Xeon Gold with 2.5GHz base). A consumer Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9 running at 5.5GHz+ will effectively be faster for daily Revit work.
RAM is the Limit:
Revit loads the entire model (and all linked models) into RAM.
Rule of Thumb: File Size x 20 = RAM needed.
Example: A 300MB Revit file (with links) might consume ~6GB of RAM just to open. With OS overhead, 16GB is the absolute bare minimum. 32GB is the standard for professional work.
Hardware Acceleration (2025-2026):
Revit 2025/2026 has improved "Hardware Acceleration" for view navigation.
This features relies on DirectX 12.Ensure your GPU is fairly modern (NVIDIA RTX 20-series or newer) to take advantage of smoother zooming/panning in 3D views.
Desktop Connector:
If you work on BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, you must install the "Autodesk Desktop Connector".
Note: This software caches files to your C: Drive. Ensure your C: Drive has at least 50-100GB of free space, or your cloud models will fail to sync.
